Kung Fu Mania: King of Beggars

w/ Wonderful Chinese menu available!

Stephen Chow is a pure force of entertainment. Possessed of an almost unnatural hybrid combo of comedy and action-packed leading man charm, he's become the greatest star and filmmaker in Hong Kong. His KUNG FU HUSTLE and SHAOLIN SOCCER are widely-seen examples of HK movie-making at its most rewarding, but his early on-screen talent is no less potent.

For this rare screening of this slapstick kung fu masterblast, Alamo chef Thomas Hanawa has prepared a delicious accompanying menu:

Winter melon soup: a refreshing soup made from winter melon, ginger and green onions

Black mushroom bao: bite-sized steamed buns filled with braised black mushrooms and served with hoisin and cracked chili oil

5 spice seared duck: duck breast seasoned with 5 spice powder, served with candied oranges and oolong scented rice. (you can substitute tofu for duck)

8 precious pudding: rice pudding filled with candied fruits, lotus seeds, and red bean paste.

All items are ala carte and limited edition. We will be serving our great regular menu also!
